After spending that last year and half talking about the Principles with
many of you I couldn’t think of a better community to reach out to, to
announce USAID’s Global Development Lab is hiring. All of the people we
hire are ones we expect to live the Principles through and through to
really try and make technology work to better the lives of the poor. The
team is hiring for nine different positions from junior to senior level,
with a mix of field and DC based, as well as working for USAID or our

individuals in the fight against extreme poverty. Two teams in the Global
Development Lab (Lab) with the Center for Digital Development are looking
for candidates. The Lab is looking for individuals who want to work with a
dynamic team of technology and policy experts committed to transforming the
use of data, information systems and technology in international
development. These teams invest their time in helping create enabling
environments that foster data-driven decisions for a range of development

with the potential to extend for an additional year based upon performance.

Duties range from operational management activities such as activity
scoping, resource planning, and project timeline management to direct
engagement with implementing partners and USAID Missions to ensure that
project activities are running smoothly.

The ideal candidate will have exceptional organizational and project
management skills, is experienced in complex stakeholder management, and
can manage multiple time-sensitive tasks simultaneously. The individual
must develop a working knowledge of USAID policies and guidelines. To
perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each

Adaptive Programming Toolbox Lead, Development Informatics Team

Duties range from operational management activities such as activity
scoping, resource planning, and project timeline management to direct
engagement with implementing partners and USAID Missions to ensure that
project activities are running smoothly.

The ideal candidate will have exceptional organizational and project
management skills, is experienced in complex stakeholder management, and
can manage multiple time-sensitive tasks simultaneously. The individual
