I’m excited to announce my first book, Lean Impact: How to Innovate for Radically Greater Social Good (Wiley, Oct 30). The book was inspired by bestseller, The Lean Startup, and adapts these best practices for innovation to purpose rather than profits. It’s based on my experience as Chief Innovation Officer at USAID, over 20 years in top Silicon Valley companies, as well as interviews with over 200 organizations.
Lean Impact strongly echoes the Principles for Digital Development, though is not exclusive to either digital or development. My hope is to use the book to reach a broader audience and help mainstream these essential tools and techniques so that we can accelerate our pace of progress and achieve greater impact and scale in global development and beyond.
