Five years ago, SPRING began as a collective experiment by USAID, the UK Department of International Development (DFID), Nike Foundation, and the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) to find a more effective way to improve the lives of millions of underserved adolescent girls in the developing world.
Since then, SPRING has supported 75 social businesses across 9 countries in East Africa and South Asia to design and develop innovations which have impacted over 500,000 adolescent girls.
We’re delighted to invite you to a reception hosted by the Digital Impact Alliance (DIAL) to celebrate the launch of our new publication ‘Scaling social businesses through design thinking’, which highlights market-driven solutions that SPRING businesses have adopted to overcome barriers to scale and deliver impact. SPRING’s design thinking partner, fuseproject, and the SPRING supported business, Fightback Nepal – a social enterprise that offers a holistic training program aimed at reducing the risk of sexual harassment and overcoming gender stereotypes – will provide insights into how SPRING’s human centered design approach helps pivot and scale businesses.
