Call for case studies

Dear colleagues,

Thank you again to everyone who attended last week’s Principles Working
Group meeting, both in person and remotely. We appreciate your
contributions to a lively discussion that will play a key role in informing
the upcoming report, tentatively titled “From Principle to Practice:
Implementing the Principles for Digital Development” to be released in
January. One point that came up again during the meeting was the need for
more case studies related to the application (or lack thereof) of the
Principles. With that in mind, we are reaching out to the broader community
for your expertise and lessons learned via this case study submission form
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1EVJjbOufGXvFBnepn8ldwapDsoD0lBjhJstFVrMwtFc/viewform
.

The case studies we seek to collect will serve to both inform the upcoming
report and be posted on the Principles website as a resource for public
use. While we welcome your success stories, we also recognize that projects
that might not have gone according to plan often generate even more useful
insights, so please feel encouraged to submit those stores of failures and
lessons learned as well. We would love to give you and your organization
full credit in the report and online, but the spirit of Principle 8
http://digitalprinciples.org/address-privacy-security/, we will also
respect anonymized submissions from organizations who wish to share case
studies without attribution.

The priority deadline for submissions is Wednesday, October 14. Case
studies submitted after that date will still be considered for publication
on the Principles website.

Best,

Mike Dawson
